about us

Deb Reams and Meg Downey opened the original boutique on July 5, 2007. The name of the shop comes from a Bible verse, Matthew 17:20-21: "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed...nothing is impossible for you." Well our dream was to be able to knit and the rest became the store, Mustard Seed Dreams Yarn Boutique. Our business is based on hard work, faith and a little bit of fortune. Two days before the boutique opened, we were working in the shop and eating Chinese food. Deb's fortune read: "Hold tight to your dreams." The fortune is hung near the cash register in a little black frame. We think it's a good sign.

Our store is located at 362 N. Main and has more than 100 varieties of yarn, Crystal Palace and Addie Turbo needles and crochet hooks and several notions that knitters find invaluable. In the sunny nook by the front window, several chairs offer comfortable seating for those working on projects. We especially enjoy it when customers sit in the shop and knit or crochet and visit. Knitting, crocheting, spinning and felting classes are available for all levels from beginning to long-time yarn lovers. We look forward to seeing you soon.
